News

3/1/98- I finally have some good computer stuff. Linux, Win95, good hard drive, CD-Rom and I'm saving money for more cool stuff. Sorry I haven't updated this page, but my driving interest has dwindeled and taken a back seat to homework, college applications, getting my Eagle Scout (which I have now earned) and working with the other pages I'm involved with. I think I tried to expand too quick with this page and it now scares me thinking about updating the whole thing. I'll try to get it all somewhat current, eventually. No promises though. I've done a little more VRML development, but Netcom doesn't support it and Geocities doesn't support directories (which I need). I also have a pretty cool job, working with the city. I do a little programming, but mostly just database entry. Have you seen my hit count??? A few months ago it was less than 1000, but now it's over 5 million!!! I have no clue if it's screwed up or not, but maybe it'll give me a little incentive to update my pages more often.
Some of the changes I plan include: updating, removing the nonframes page, adding a geoguide (so you don't have to bother with the annoying popup ad), and verifying all the links.
10/14/97- VRML development takes way too long on Win3.1 ... I want 95, but I need a new HD first. Can't wait till Christmas. Even still, I'm developing CybreWurlde VR: my page in VRML. I have some pretty cool plans for it, but bugs are still being worked out. Most of the world is still in the conceptualization stage, but I have some working code.
9/27/97- I'm kind of getting back into the groove of web programming, but it's mostly for other pages such as VHS in VRML and the Explorer Post 265 homepage. I've been working on VHS in VRML quite a bit, and it is even in VRML 2.0 now. I'm designing the stadium/sports facilities and also adding links to the other pages on the Vaca High homepage. Hopefully I'll have enough time to sit down and edit the rest of CybreWurlde this weekend, between work and homework.

9/13/97- School finally started again. I had a great summer - but did not have close to enough time to work on my web page or VHS in VRML, which is at the Vacaville High School page. I'm a senior! Out of Philmont and Cozumel, Cozumel was the best, but both were experiences I will never forget.

6/3/97- School is almost over! Only a week and a half left till I can spend several hours a day devoting my time to updating this page. I have plans for this page, alright, and some new graphics and VRML worlds are coming. I edited this page today mainly so it could comply to the request of the VRML Ring leader. I'm starting to design an avatar (a VRML person that represents yourself in multi-user worlds). I don't think I'll be able to use it for a while, though, especially since Black Sun's software can't run on Windows 3.1. I'm also thinking about starting a VRML design business, as I am beccoming more proficient at the language and it's workings.

5/28/97- I've had tons and tons of homework. Plus, I've been working on a vrml world of Vacaville High School. I finally got a job, I'm working at Baskin Robbins. I still have sorry ole Win 3.1, but at least Netscape Communicator PR5 has a vrml 2.0 browser (Cosmo). My modem is perfectly normal now, so I can't complain about that. Java hasn't been super special for me. It doesn't work half the time, and most of the applets that do run could be a javascript. The Vacaville High School page has been updated.

3/6/97- Again, sorry for not updating this page for a while. My homework's been piling on and I'm trying to earn some money for this summer. I got my modem back, (it came as a new 33.6) and at first it was the bomb, but now it is doing the exact thing my old modem was doing:( I got Netscape Communicator for Win 3.1 so I can finally run Java, but, at least for now, I can't run VRML. I can't run VRML on this computer that is, but that doesn't mean that I'm not creating the Vacaville High School campus in VRML in my drafting class. When it's finished it'll be the bomb. I've been working on it for about a month now, and I'd say I'm about halfway finished. (Most of the buildings have dimensions, but no textures.) As soon as it is finished, you will be the first to see it. If you would like to see my progress so far, I'll put up the world in a couple of days.
